TELL ME A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF

My name is Lalitaa and I’m 26 years old. I spend most of my time working on inspiring others, but to relax I like to socialise and meet different people

WHAT WOULD YOUR FRIENDS SAY ARE YOUR BEST QUALITIES?

Positive, caring and driven person

WHAT’S YOUR BUSINESS IDEA?

Na-La is a one stop online shop to tie everything together. It allows you to be creative and embrace your own unique style.

The term Na-La originates from traditional Asian roots. It is similar to a simple rope and it is used predominantly in Asian clothing to tie your outfit together. For example, you may use a Na-La for a petticoat, underneath a sari, to hold everything in place.

The idea behind Na-La is to inspire your creativity by bringing Western and South Asian clothing together on one platform. This allows individuals to mix and match items to create a unique and stylish outfit. Na-La strives to empower you to embrace who you are.

WHAT INTERESTS YOU MOST ABOUT STARTING YOUR OWN BUSINESS?

Putting my ideas into reality and seeing my vision come true. Enjoy the freedom of being self-employed and choosing my own hours and meeting so many different people.

WHAT KIND OF HELP DO YOU MOST NEED TO GET YOUR BUSINESS STARTED AND TO KEEP YOU MOTIVATED?

People who believe in me and inspire me.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5 YEARS’ TIME?

A serial entrepreneur!

WHY SET UP YOUR OWN BUSINESS RATHER THAN WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE?

That is boring! I have so much more to offer and do and with the right time and right opportunities I can get this done.

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY THINK OF YOUR PLANS?

They think I am mad!

IF YOU WERE GOING TO GIVE SOMEONE IN SCHOOL ADVICE ABOUT THE FUTURE WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Not just to focus on getting education and getting money – do what you enjoy and experience life!

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF LIFELINE SO FAR?

It has been such an exciting opportunity to be part of the lifeline programme. Everyone has been so kind and I feel overwhelmed with this. I have really enjoyed being part of the programme and think it is amazing!
